Every building's soundness depends on the early groundwork being done right. For excavation we prepare the dig plan from the geotechnical report and design levels, and organise removal of spoil to licensed tipping sites. During foundation excavation we assess slope angles, shoring needs and groundwater in advance to protect neighbouring buildings and roads.
Before construction starts, site preparation covers vegetation clearance, removal of old structures, site roads and temporary drainage. Where levels need raising, backfilling is placed and compacted in layers with compaction testing. Finally, grading brings the site to design falls, ready for foundations, infrastructure and site concrete.
