Light Steel Buildings

Light steel building systems use galvanised cold-formed sections to create a structure far lighter and faster to erect than reinforced concrete. On light steel housing the frame is produced to size in the workshop and assembled on site within weeks. Because the building is light, seismic forces are lower too — a significant safety advantage for light steel villas and detached homes.

Light steel is also ideal for extensions to existing buildings such as extra storeys, loft floors, offices or storage: it adds little load to the existing structure and keeps the site programme short. Within light steel building systems we resolve thermal, acoustic and fire insulation inside the wall and floor build-ups, and hand over the finished building turnkey with interior and exterior cladding.
