Passive Fire Protection Services
Firestopping, penetration sealing and fire-rated door installation to secure a building's passive fire protection.
Field Gallery
Just as important as active suppression is limiting the spread of fire and smoke through a building. Firestopping maintains the fire resistance of the walls and floors that form fire compartments, using certified sealants, mortars and board systems in joints and voids. Where cables, pipes and ducts pass through walls and floors, even the best-planned compartments fail without penetration sealing, so we treat every penetration individually.
On escape routes and between fire compartments, fire-rated door installation covers doors, frames and hardware rated for a set resistance period. We plan all of this as part of our fire safety works, based on the building's fire regulation requirements and a survey of existing conditions, and include product certificates and installation records in the handover file.
